My client is an integrated agency in South Buckinghamshire just off the M40 and they are looking for an account manager. As an Account Manager on you will provide a key support role to your Account Director in completing campaigns and projects across a number of clients.  

 You will be required to run projects from client briefing until completion, including managing communications (written and verbal) with clients and internal stakeholders including the wider team. You will need to be adaptable to a number of different projects at a time and a number of different clients, these may be varied and you need to be able to demonstrate at all times control and ownership of your projects, along with the appropriate approach. To do this successfully you will need to have strong flexibility, proactivity and start to build good strategic awareness.

Alongside the projects you will also be responsible for financial oversight of the whole account with regards to estimates, invoicing and forecasting processes and will ensure all members of the team are following correct processes and ensuring we are working with the finance team to provide regular updates to forecasting.  This will include working on scope of work and working with your Account Director on key aspects of the planning process across the account.

Part of your responsibility is to manage more junior members of the team, Account Executives and Account Administrators.  You will be required to mentor and support them with the end goal to bring that person up to the next level within the team.  You are also required to manage and mentor any other individuals who are working on your project that may need guidance from the project ‘owner’.

Integral to this role is monitoring competitor activity and identifying marketing opportunities for the client.   Requiring a commercial outlook combined with good presentation skills in order to present proposals to the client.   The role also requires a strategic, solutions focused approach with commercial awareness to spot new opportunities that will lead to successful client campaigns and results. Able to choose marketing /media channels? Write great briefs? Etc. covering reporting, media planning (ability to use and choose different marketing channels that are best for the offering], communication, strategy, marketing channel elements within the role.

Essential to your role as an Account Manager is also to maintain and develop client relationships and also relationships with other internal department.
