My client is an integrated agency based just off the M40 in South Buckinghamshire and they are looking for a Creative Services Manager. You will have the energy, passion for the work, and a desire to further your experience through helping to deliver innovative and successful campaigns. 

Key responsibilities


  • Works to ensure that the right people are resourced on the right jobs, ensuring creatives are kept fresh and new skills are built
  • Works to grow the freelancer database of creatives and designers
  • Helps the Creative management team with appraisals and reviews, owning the overall process and providing input
  • Works with the HR function to build the Creative department training plan in light of personal aspirations, agency requirements and resourcing needs
  • Involved in recruitment and interviews for creative staff





  • Owns the creative briefing process, ensuring that briefs are signed off by the Executive Creative Director and that they meet the requirements of the Creative department; liaising with producers and account teams to ensure that briefs are delivered in a timely fashion and that delays are properly communicated to the team
  • Responsibility for the utilisation of the creative team, ensuring that chargeable work is effectively managed, that pitches are adequately resourced and that downtime is used properly
  • Ensures that time is properly recorded by the creative team and any issues or errors are properly investigated
  • Keeps up to date with new business, the competition and agency strategy to ensure that we offer the best possible creative solution to our clients’ needs
  • Ensures work is delivered to an award winning standard, and is prepared for entry to awards


  • Reviews and manages the operational needs of the department, including IT requirements, environment etc.
  • Builds relationships with creative suppliers (training, image libraries etc)
  • Organises regular creative events and reviews
  • Maintains a library of relevant books, articles and magazines

Candidate Requirements

  • You will have worked in a creative agency, preferably digital or integrated but not essential
  • You will be familiar with the needs of creative teams and designers
  • You will understand the skills needed to produce high quality creative work
  • You need to be highly organised
  • A people person
  • Supremely self-confident and fun to work with
  • Need to take the creative work seriously but not take themselves too seriously
